As we learn how our data is manipulated by Facebook and their thousands of clients, a Blockchain solution emerges thanks to Brian Gallagher's Insights Network which is launching their app this week. The app allows users to get rewarded in cryptocurrency (INSTAR, Insights' token) for sharing their personal data for things like surveys, instead of it being harvested and sold without their knowledge. With the Facebook data/Cambridge Analytica story and the upcoming GDPR in Europe, the issue of data protection is front and center. Insights Network seeks to give consumers the ability to control and be rewarded for their data.
